Asseco’s smart solution to support public transportation in Łódź
Asseco will provide a mobile inspection system and equipment for the Municipal Transportation Company in Łódź. The solution is going to streamline the work of ticket inspectors, who will be able to verify and update the passenger’s personal data, as well as to send their activity reports directly from transportation vehicles. The net contract value amounts to PLN 1.2 million.
The solution to be provided by Asseco will enable the inspection of season tickets that are saved on smart cards supported by the IT system “Migawka” (“Snapshot”) that is operated by the Municipal Transportation Company in Łódź. It will furthermore allow for checking the validity of single fare tickets that are distributed through mobile payment systems and the above-mentioned system.
“With our solution, ticket inspectors will be able to read data from smart cards within a matter of just 3 seconds,” said Paweł Sokołowski, Product Manager, Asseco Poland S.A. “In addition, they will be able to send a penalty notice directly into the server of the payment recovery system as well as to print such notice on the spot, which is also very convenient for passengers,” he added.
The scope of the project includes a 5-year lease and comprehensive service support of 100 mobile inspection devices as well as 100 portable printers. Asseco will also implement the software for ticket inspection and issuing of electronic penalty notices (mobile payment recovery system). The system will be fully compatible with the IT environment of the ordering party.
The project is going to be completed over a period of 3 months. Moreover, Asseco will be responsible for the training of ticket inspectors and dispatchers.
